My name is Maoni Latouille.
I'm a Kung Fu passionate, popular youtuber (100k+ subscribers), entreprenor, athlete, educator, traveler, and the founder of Kung-Fu Horizon.
I'm literally born into the martial art world.
My both parent being kung fu and tai chi instructors, I learned how to stand in a proper horse stance before knowing how to walk !
From then to my 18's, my father trained me everyday, either I agreed or not ;)
After I finished school, I immediately took a plane to San Francisco, to study deeply my Hung Gar (tiger and crane) Kung Fu with Y.C. Wong, a worldwide known teacher.
So when I came back to France, I entered a sport educator's schools. After one year of studies, I finnaly get my diploma and I'm now happy to meet all others Kung Fu practicioners, to learn from them and share my thougs with us.
Then, I discovered 'The Karate Nerd', a popular blog made by Jesse Enkamp, a passionate karate-ka, to share his karate thougs around the world and 'elevate the global consciousness of karate'.
I found his videos, vlogs and article fascinating, and realised that there was no equivalent about Kung Fu, in the whole world.
Kung Fu, or Wushu in today's world, is a really misunderstood and scattered style of martial art.
For most, it's more of a dance with acrobatics jumps in flashy uniforms.
For some, it's a mystic tradition from Shaolin, where people harden their bodies by smashing rocks and metal bars all days.
And that's due to what media and popular influencers show.
Since none of that tend to be close to the real definition of Kung Fu, I started this blog, at the same time as my youtube channel and facebook account, to bound togethers those who seek real, tradition rooted Kung Fu, onto the actual world. I took that as my life's mission.
I hope this website can help everybody who is curious about Kung Fu in anyway, wether it's about history, legends, teachers, or technical stuff.
Througout the years, my passion for martial arts in general and kung fu especially has grown always more. Now, I'm happy to share with you what it has of most wonderful, knowing that there is always more and better to come.
